  • Student Gradebook: I have placed a gradebook in your Dropbox folder (David - yours is in a Google Account) to help you see what your scores are and what your grade is at this point. The gradebook looks like this:

  • Revisions: Please let me know when I should check on your revisions. If you don't I have no reason to assume that you did.

1/20/2014
  • Concept Mapping Trail will be released at 4:45 or 16:45 today (1/20/2014)

  • Feedback: Make sure that you use the feedback I have posted for you on the wikispages where you post your work and on the rubrics.

I can't emphasize the next bullet enough...

  • Follow My Examples Posted on the Trails: Please use the links to my examples and use them as a guide for your work. I believe in supporting Recognition Learning and these strategies:
    • Providing Multiple Examples
    • Highlighting Critical Features
1/18/2014
  • Revisions: When you do revisions, and I encourage you to, please tell me in an email that you did because I won't know you did unless you tell me. Please tell me exactly what you revised, don't say I made corrections? This is just a courtesy to me because I won't have to hunt for your revisions.
  • Follow My Examples: Please use the links to my examples and use them as a guide for your work. I believe in supporting Recognition Learning and these strategies:
    • Providing Multiple Examples
    • Highlighting Critical Features
1/17/2014
  • Cancelled Trail: Due to the compact format of this course, I have decided to cancel the Writing with Research Trail.
  • Release of Enhanced and Annotated Lesson Planning Trail - I have released the Enhanced and Annotated Lesson Planning Trail.
  • Evaluation of Work: I will continue evaluating your work and rubrics. I will let you know when I am done via email.
    • All Lesson Plan work has been evaluated and rubrics have been placed in your Dropbox folders.
  • Deadlines: The deadlines on the rubrics will not be counted because this course is so compact. You should use them as guidelines so that you do not get too far behind.

1/15/2014
  • Evaluation of Work: I have evaluated all the work that has been given to me
  • Release of Enhanced and Annotated Lesson Planning Trail - I am going to release this trail on 1/17/2014, it appears that all of you need more time with the Teach with Web Resources trail.

1/14/2014
  • Rubrics: There are 3 things you should do with the rubrics. 1.) read the rubrics before you begin a task. 2.) use the rubrics as a guide while doing the task and 3.) then complete your section of the rubric after you complete the task. Once you have filled in your portion of the rubric, please put it in the shared Dropbox folder for me to use.

1/12/2014
  • Teach with Resources Trail: When you finish the Multimodal Learning Environment trail, you need to continue the Teach with Web Resources trail. In the last section of that trail, you will build a lesson that uses an Interactive Multimodal Learning Environment. You can get to that section of the trail by clicking - here -
  • Rubrics - you will start seeing the rubrics I have evaluated in the shared Dropbox folder.

1/11/2014
  • Rubrics: When you start the Multimodal Learning Environments and Teach with Web Resources trails, you will notice that there are rubrics associated with your work that you complete. Do not forget to:
    • fill out the rubrics, thereby evaluating yourself
    • place the rubrics in the shared Dropbox folder so that I can evaluate your work too
    • I will evaluate your work within 24 hours and if you need to revise your work, you will have the opportunity to do so.
  • Thoughtful ideas: I have enjoyed reading your ideas on the Technology as a Social Practice Trail ;-)

1/9/2014
  • Next trail release: I have released the Teach with Web Resources and the Multimodal Learning Environments Trails. I have decided to combine the two of them so you have examples of web resources that you can design lessons with. I have also re-structured the due dates for these two trails.

  • My comments: I have posted comments to those of you who posted comments on the Technology as a Social Practice...trail.

  • Spelling & Grammar: When you write, please check your spelling and grammar - proofread! When you type on a wikispace, a red squiggly line is placed under misspelled words. Right click on the word and choose the correct spelling. When you leave misspelled words, your actions say something about you.
